Mojo Monday 10/8/12

Today’s Mojo Monday post fits the bill because I loooooooooooove CM’s border maker cartridge and for this post I used the brand spankin’ new Twinkle Cartridge in the border maker.  And I used the Evergreen Cartridge on one half of this two-page spread.  I was taking an on-line sketch class and the sketches were all two-page spreads; so I had to scrapbook two different events, and somehow match them up because I didn’t have enough photos for a two-pager.  (Am I rambling on?)  Anyway, I enjoyed this sketch.  Thank you for looking!

Warmhearted Wednesday 10.3.12

Today’s Warmhearted Wednesday post is warmhearted because it showcases my older brother Ray’s family visiting VT last Thanksgiving weekend.  Ray is one of my four brothers.  It’s especially heartwarming to me to spend time with my brothers as I get older.  They – well I should say the three oldest – drove me nuts growing up.  I love seeing them now more than ever since I lost one of my older brothers, Mark, in May 2011.  When our family gets together now, we continue to smile and laugh … and remember Mark.

Ripsaw Falls

Today’s Mojo Monday layout shows some of my family members definitely with their Mojo on.  Anyone who will ride Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure has my utmost respect!  I rode it once – once – and honestly needed the spin cycle of a washer for my clothes when I got off it!  You get torpedoed with water during this ride, so much so, that I lost my breath, and prayed to God that the ride would be over very soon.   (pretty pathetic, isn’t it?)  My husband, my little brother, my two nieces loved it.  My nephew – not so much – I think he experienced what his Aunt Jane experienced – maybe it’s because we were both in the second seat???  Now, back to the layout… I used different shades of blues that I had that I had on hand, layering them, as the sketch indicated that was from the sketch class I took online this summer.  I also used stickers with some orange to go along with the pictures.  Thank you for looking!

Favorites Friday 7/27/12

One of my favorites are the topiaries at Disney World.  The last time I was there they had these princesses at the different countries around World Showcase.  I used the beautiful CM paper called Expressions; some cardstock; and Reflections paper ribbon.  This once again is another sketch from the sketch class I took online last month.  Thank you for looking.  🙂

Warmhearted Wednesday 7/25/12

64 years ago today, my Mom & Dad were married.  My Dad passed away in 2000, so I’ll be visiting the cemetary today with my Mom.  In honor of this day, here’s a layout I did a few years ago …

Tools Tuesday

For this layout I used the border maker with the wave cartridge; also the rotary trimmer with the small wavy blade.  This layout was from another sketch in the Sketch Class I’m been taking online.  Thank you for looking!

Warmhearted Wednesday

Today’s Warmhearted Wednesday post is warmhearted because I’ve always loved Disney’s Electrical Parade – ever since the first time I saw it with a certain 4 year old who thought it was the best parade in the world.

Injuries Happen

This is a layout I made for a sketch class that I’m taking online.  Have I mentioned that I love sketch classes?  Anyway, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to scrapbook these pictures, but they were a part of our vacation, so I decided to go for it.  I used CM’s rotary trimmer with the straight blade and the pinking blade; and also the big shot with the top note die.  This is definitely outside the box for me, but I’m happy with how it turned out.  Thank you for looking!

Warmhearted Wednesday – Heroes

Here is my first Warmhearted Wednesday layout:

I wanted to do a really nice layout with this picture of my son when he was a high school freshman.  I layered different designer print blue papers; added an awesome vellum expression; and then added the year to complete this layout that warms my heart.
