Thankful Thursday 10/4/12

Today’s Thankful Thursday post shows my niece’s college graduation pictures from last May 2011.  The right hand side shows my sweet Molly.  I used CM delight power palette, stickers and flowers.  Thank you for looking.  🙂

Thankful Thursday 7/26/12

Today’s Thankful Thursday layout shows my thankfulness for the thoughtfulness of my family and friends following my knee replacement surgery 2 months ago.  The paper I used is CM’s Reflections paper; and I also used CM’s Reflections paper ribbon.  This was another sketch from the online sketch class I took.  Thank you for looking!

Favorites Friday – Boardwalk Resort at Disney

This was a fun layout to do… I used the rotary trimmer with the wavy blade.  I love the blues, and I love staying at the Boardwalk!  I need to get back there soon.  Thank you for looking!

Weston Playhouse

I won tickets at work to see a play at Weston and was very excited.  It was such a funny show, I laughed until it hurt.  I had to scrapbook such a nice memory so I used a designer print to cover my page; then added a coordinating smaller square on top on an angle.  Then I taped down my photos and tickets; andded a few squiggles, and done.

I love Epcot

Every year Epcot has the Flower & Garden Festival and I just love being there during that time.  These pictures are so pretty, I didn’t feel they needed any decorative elements – the only thing I did was cut out the huge butterfly.  I added our tickets and the page was done.

Two page spread – Clippings

If you have memorabilia that isn’t 2-sided, you can simply tape it down on your pages.  I added a simple sticker border on each page, a few tiny stickers here and there, and done.

More Side Loading Sleeves

I added some 8.5″ x 11″ side loading sleeves to my 12″x12″ cruise album because I had a lot of internet articles about our cruise that I wanted to save.

So I had some leftover 8×8 album kit stickers and paper, and decided I was going to use them in my 12×12 book.  The colors worked, and I think it looks fine.  I also used our Atlantis wristbands as part of the borders.

A great item that not many people use

I use 8.5″ x 11″ side loading sleeves in my 12×12 albums whenever I have something that I want in my book, but not taped down.  Any type of program, or something two-sided, is perfect for these sleeves.  In this book, I used a sleeve for each day’s “Freestyle Daily” that we received on our cruise.  It surprises me that I don’t sell more of these, because I think they’re so useful and necessary.  (I have one customer who uses them all the time and couldn’t live without them.)
