Simple Pleasures

sk20

Today’s layout is made using the following:

  • 12×12 base layout that all attendees of my weekend retreat in April will receive
  • I added 2 different CM paper ribbons
  • CM stickers

I like how this turned out because I was glad I could match up the paper ribbon with the base layout colors; and I love the pictures.  It’s wonderful to look back and reminisce about Christmas Day at my little brother’s.  Thank you for checking in today!

Borders 101 part III

borders3

Welcome to 2013!  I hope to post more often to my blog this year.  We shall see….  For today’s post, the border on the left was made using CM’s beautiful Divine paper.  I cut 2 straight strips of different widths, and then used the circle punch to punch 9 circles and taped them behind the strips.  The border on the right was made using CM’s beautiful Reflections paper.  This is my favorite palette right now.  Once again, I cut 2 straight strips of different widths.  The I cut a strip using the tearing tool.  Those pretty flowers and gems are also part of the Reflections palette.  Thank you for looking!

Thankful Thursday 10/11/12

Today’s layout features some pictures from Disney World.  I was on this trip with my husband and my brother’s family.  I’m very thankful that we all went on this trip together.  It was wonderful!  These Mickey ears were super easy with CM’s custom cutting system using the circle templates.  I also used CM’s Disney paper, ABC stickers, and paper ribbon.  Thank you for looking!

Warmhearted Wednesday 10/10/12

Today’s post is warmhearted because it’s a layout consisting of one of my nieces and her children visiting my Mom.  This 2-page spread is for a book I’m making for my Mom for Christmas.  Scrapbooks are the greatest Christmas gifts!  For this layout, I used CM’s Simply Beautiful power palette; ABC stickers; and flowers.  And, of course, once again, I used a sketch from an online class I took in September.

Favorites Friday 10/5/12

Today’s post uses CM’s Delight power palette.  I also used the 12″ rotary trimmer to border some green on top of the brown.  I love CM’s 12″ rotary trimmer because it has 9 different blades that go with it.  I think any layout with our little furry friends is warmhearted!  This is also a sketch from an online sketch class that I took in September.  Any questions, please let me know.  🙂

Favorites Friday 8/10/12

Hello – I haven’t posted to my blog in over a week… no good excuse here!

So, here is a favorites post from me – this shows a layout made with a Power Palette.  Any of CM’s Power Palettes is a favorite of mine!  I have one whole book full of this same Power Palette.  It was a fun project, and very simple.  Everything I needed was in the Palette.  Thank you for looking!

Favorites Friday 7/27/12

One of my favorites are the topiaries at Disney World.  The last time I was there they had these princesses at the different countries around World Showcase.  I used the beautiful CM paper called Expressions; some cardstock; and Reflections paper ribbon.  This once again is another sketch from the sketch class I took online last month.  Thank you for looking.  🙂

Thankful Thursday 7/26/12

Today’s Thankful Thursday layout shows my thankfulness for the thoughtfulness of my family and friends following my knee replacement surgery 2 months ago.  The paper I used is CM’s Reflections paper; and I also used CM’s Reflections paper ribbon.  This was another sketch from the online sketch class I took.  Thank you for looking!
