Your life is a story …. scrapbook it!

Dear Santa

Today’s layout includes the following:

  • Some old designer paper I’ve had forever
  • Some border stickers I picked up at Joann’s a long time ago that were marked way down
  • A current CM Christmas sticker

Once again, it sure is great to use up old stuff!  Thank you for looking today.  🙂

Chris Mouse

Today’s layout is another from the online sketch class I’m taking.  I collected Chris Mouse Hallmark ornaments for as long as they made them – because my son’s name is Chris – so I decided to scrap some of the collection.  Here’s what I used to make this layout:

  1. CM discontinued Christmas paper
  2. CM discontinued Christmas Open House border strips
  3. CM discontinued Christas stickers
  4. CM current Noel ABC stickers
  5. red ribbon

It is SO nice to use up some old stash that I’ve had, it seems, forever!  Thank you for looking today.  🙂

Fa La La

Today’s layout shows CM’s Noel designer paper.  I used a black scrap and CM’s old ivory ABC stickers for the title.  I matted the photos in black to help make them pop.  Thank you for looking today!

Great, Great, Great Grandpa

Today’s layout is also from the online sketch class I’m taking.  This page is for one of my Mom’s scrapbooks.  I know she will like it because it highlights her beloved Grandfather and her adorable great-grandson Conor.  I used scraps of paper from my black paper folder for this, and silver ABC’s, and added some silver embossed punched stars.  I also used CM’s custom cutting system – the largest circle – and cut it in half for the top semi-circle.  Thank you for looking today.

Fabulous Friday 9/21/12

Today’s Fabulous Friday layout is fabulous because I’m finally catching up on photos from 2009.   I used a sketch from a sketch class I am taking.  This was fun to do and it was good to use up some of this old CM paper I’ve had hanging around!

Atlantis

So I had some leftover 8×8 album kit stickers and paper, and decided I was going to use them in my 12×12 book.  The colors worked, and I think it looks fine.  I also used our Atlantis wristbands as part of the borders.

Summer Baby

Another example from an on-line scrapbook class.  Take strips of paper and fold back and forth to make pleats.  A pretty neat look and an awful cute toddler!

Sweet Pea

This is one of my all-time favorite layouts.  Totally out of the box for me.  This is another layout from an online scrapbook class.  This was super easy — just cutting out strips of paper, different widths, different lengths, then layering them.  As a finishing touch, I cut a circle for the middle of the layout.   Of course, the pics of my adorable little boy don’t hurt this layout one bit.  🙂

Happy Boy

Here’s another example of using up scrap papers.  Cut out images from them, and place them anywhere on your layout where they “fit”.  I had some papers that were 11.5″ x 12″ so they didn’t fit CM’s new 12″x12″ pages.  So it worked out good to cut out the images I liked.  I also found that instead of being careful the way I cut out images, if I zig-zag while I snip, it gives a great look.  And certainly hides mistakes too.

This was a fun layout.  First you cut a bunch of strips of coordinating paper.  Then tape them down on a blank sheet of paper.  Then, you turn them cross-wise and cut strips again. So easy.
