Your life is a story …. scrapbook it!

Scrappy Saturday 9/8/12

I don’t even need to comment on this layout because the journaling tells the story.  I used CM Romance and Vellum paper; and used my cricut for the title.

Thankful Thursday 7/26/12

Today’s Thankful Thursday layout shows my thankfulness for the thoughtfulness of my family and friends following my knee replacement surgery 2 months ago.  The paper I used is CM’s Reflections paper; and I also used CM’s Reflections paper ribbon.  This was another sketch from the online sketch class I took.  Thank you for looking!

Warmhearted Wednesday 7/25/12

64 years ago today, my Mom & Dad were married.  My Dad passed away in 2000, so I’ll be visiting the cemetary today with my Mom.  In honor of this day, here’s a layout I did a few years ago …

Warmhearted Wednesday

Today’s Warmhearted Wednesday post is warmhearted because I’ve always loved Disney’s Electrical Parade – ever since the first time I saw it with a certain 4 year old who thought it was the best parade in the world.

Injuries Happen

This is a layout I made for a sketch class that I’m taking online.  Have I mentioned that I love sketch classes?  Anyway, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to scrapbook these pictures, but they were a part of our vacation, so I decided to go for it.  I used CM’s rotary trimmer with the straight blade and the pinking blade; and also the big shot with the top note die.  This is definitely outside the box for me, but I’m happy with how it turned out.  Thank you for looking!

Easter Joy

This is one of those fast and easy layouts.  A simple straight border down the side; a few photos; a title sticker; a little journaling; and a couple of stickers make this layout come out great.  (imho)

Favorites Friday

Seeing a no-hitter sure ranks as one of my favorite times.  John and I took my brother and niece to Fenway to watch the Red Sox play the Orioles.  Sometime around the 7th inning, things started feeling different in the park …. there was a buzz and excitement that then continued until the exciting last out.   I wanted the story for sure on the layout; I used a narrow sticker strip across the top and then layered the ABC title stickers on top of the strip.  I added some photos and small baseball stickers and I have a favorite memory.

South Beach Fiesta

This border if an example of a super-easy border and can easily be used with different shapes – not just the circles.  I used a designer paper 1.5″ x 12″ strip.  Then cut out five 1.25″ yellow circles; and five 1″ designer paper circles.  Taped them down, and done.  I also matted the pictures with the same designer paper.  I wanted this page to be busy – because it was a very festive party aboard our ship.

Happy Birthday Chris – He’s my heart & soul

I became a Mom 29 years ago today, at 9:00 PM precisely, to my son Christopher.  It was all I ever wanted – to be a Mom.  It’s so hard to believe that it was 29 years ago; although in some ways, it does seem like forever ago.  June 6 will always be a happy, happy day to me – the best day of my life.

4th of July

This was a super easy layout — royal blue, and red cardstock.  I punched out a few stars on the royal blue CS; and used the tearing tool for the red.  I used a journaling box, mini ABC’s, and mini-golf memorabilia to go along with our July 4 pictures.
